Hummus is a creamy, flavorful dip originating from the Middle East, made primarily from blended chickpeas and tahini. Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt, to taste
  • 2-4 tbsp water (for consistency)

Instructions

1.Blend: In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, and salt.

2. Add water: Blend until smooth, adding water 1 tablespoon at a time to reach your desired creamy consistency.

3. Taste and adjust: Add more lemon, salt, or cumin as needed.

4. Serve: Transfer to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika if desired.
